Meet our team
At our center, we care for every child as if they were part of our own family. Our dedicated team of teachers takes great pride and confidence in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all children. Each member of our staff brings unique skills, warmth, and experience, working together to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
Arnie Cho
Centre owner
Kia ora, my name is Arnie.
I’m a proud father to my daughter Ellie and have a deep passion for caring for babies and young children. Being around children brings me so much joy, their energy, curiosity, and positivity are truly uplifting and make every day special.
Parenthood has taught me so much about raising and nurturing children, and this personal journey has been enriched by my participation in an educational program in early childhood care. This combination of hands on experience and professional training has given me a strong foundation in supporting children’s learning and development.
Working with young tamariki is a dream come true for me. My goal at this centre is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and excited to learn and grow through play and meaningful experiences every day.
Kellie Park
Centre manager
Kia ora, I’m Kellie, the Centre Manager at Little Forest Early Learning Centre.
With over 25 years of experience working with children, I am deeply passionate about creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and supported in their unique journey.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in nature-based learning, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a genuine connection with the natural world. I believe that each child is a capable and confident learner, and my goal is to guide them with warmth, respect, and a sense of wonder as they grow and explore.
Paua room over2s
Welcome from the Paua room team, where we take over the nurturing and development of your young child and start them on the road to becoming fully active members of society. This is the age of discovering independence, and as such providing our children with a sense of wellbeing and belonging is paramount within our Paua room giving them the confidence and safety to explore this growing sense of self.
Through watching, listening, copying and lots of trial and error Paua children are mastering so many new skills. Our Paua room is set up specifically with this learning in mind, with ample space and resources providing plenty of time for uninterrupted play and learning. Resources provide opportunity for children to mimic and explore ideas through imaginative play becoming mothers of their own “babies”, firefighters on their bikes, or tigers in the jungle enabling them to make sense of the world and their place within it, learning how to work with and alongside others as they play.
Paua teachers are a vital resource themselves at this highly influential age, and pride themselves in role modelling positive social interactions, encouraging language development and literacy through stories, rhyme and song as well as allowing children to copy and try out “jobs” such as gardening, animal care or baking to name a few.
Repetition is key for children of this age so resources and activities are constantly available, many of which utilize the same skills but in different contexts allowing for practice, practice, practice until our now very independent Pauas are ready to start their next journey to primary school.
Once your child turns four, we provide a special transition programme in collaboration with the new-entrant teachers of our local schools. Special attention is given to not just word recognition, numeracy and vocabulary but also concentration, working in a group and routines. We encourage aspects of learning and behaviour that will prepare them well for their move to ‘big school’.

Pipi room under 2s
At Pipi, we are privileged to share a truly special time in your child’s life. As teachers in the infant room, we have the wonderful opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships with our youngest learners. These early days are filled with joy, discovery, and meaningful connections even through the smallest of moments and richest of conversations.
To ensure we are providing the highest quality care, our team is committed to ongoing professional development, staying up to date with best practices in infant care. Our approach is guided by a specialist philosophy unique to our room one grounded in the simple yet powerful principle of respect. Your baby will be listened to, responded to, and deeply loved.
We recognise that infants are naturally curious and driven to explore their world. Our role is to thoughtfully support this innate drive by creating an environment full of possibilities, security, and wonder. We tune in to each child's cues, respond with care, and support their sense of wellbeing and belonging fostering the confidence they need to learn and grow.
We also believe that parents and whānau are the true experts on their children. That’s why we place great importance on open, ongoing communication. By getting to know you and understanding your child’s unique rhythms, preferences, and needs, we are able to provide truly individualised care.
Together, we create a nurturing space where your baby can thrive.
